What kind of vacume would you use for dog hair?

Hey all,
I'm running into a little problem. I've been using this bagless vacume for almost year now, and I don't think it's doing the job. I've been trying to clean my carpet and I guess it's picking up stuff, but not really dog hair. So I started using the hose to see if that would work and it did. When I first got the vacume, it picked up tons of hair just fine when I would vacume and I wouldn't have to use the hose at all, and now it's not picking up much unless I use the hose. when I get my new dog, I don't know if it'll shed more or less than Vernon does, but I think I should either buy a new vacume and give this one to someone else, or find some other solution. If anyone can give me any ideas, that would be wonderful.

Try the roomba.

Yep the roomba. They even make models especially for pets, but the regular ones work just as well.

dicen animal vac is a great one the only problem is it is quite expensive. My husband's parents got us one for a wedding gift and it is awesome. It picks up all the hair just like that.

Well, before I go out and buy a new vacume, I'm going to get this one cleaned out. I figured maybe it's just clogged, so we'll see. I hope that does that job. I'm not exactly sure of how to do it, so I'm going to have someone help me. If that doesn't work, then I'll go look for the 2 that were mentioned. Thanks for the suggestions.

We have the oreck, sorry for the spelling. I love it! It came with the upright and the small cannister.

I don't think I'll go for a bagless again. I've heard they are not the best for animal hair. Ours tended to smell and it was so messy to clean out.

I like how the Oreck comes with the extended warranty, so it can be serviced each year. The upright is so lightweight and has great hypo filtration. The bag is easy to remove and the opening automaticly closes when you through the bag away. I also like having the bag because it allows me to add some vacuum fragrence if I'd like.

One final bonus, extended payments. Oh and colors! Lol!
